Due to the inclement weather, the scheduled walk covering Porthkerry/Cold Knap/Barry was cancelled owing to exposure in some parts to the coast.
Six of us turned up for an alternative walk that was arranged at the last minute. We headed for the windmill playing fields in Llantwit Major where we parked our cars and commenced the walk. Despite the initial intention of minimising our exposure to the winds, we failed; at first it was very windy, although easing as we went.
We headed passed the dog kennels through Frampton in the direction towards Sigingstone, then moving towards Llanmihangel before turning back to Frampton passing Frampton House which has undergone extensive renovations over the past few years and is now looking quite impressive.
There were not many people about, which was not surprising, but we all enjoyed the walk finishing at the Topstak cafe for coffee/tea etc.
