Heritage Coast Camp site and the beach, 26th June

What a magnificent day. I am not referring to the weather, but to the 21 of us that landed up on the Heritage Coast Camp site cafe for morning coffee/teas etc. It was great to see so many people, all friends getting together and enjoying each other’s company.

Phillipa and Glyn were run of their feet pulling so many drinks but looked after us admirably, and it was good to see Mary and Carol and Anne who drove down to join us.

I can’t say how long we sat and talked, no one cared, it didn’t matter and eventually most made their way back up to Wick along Broughton Road a 2.5 mile walk, while 7 of us carried on down to the beach, along the coast cliff tops, turning in and back up Trepit Road which ended up as 5.5 miles, what a lovely day.
