8 Wanderers met at the Village Hall, Wick at 10.00 am and left under grey skies only to be welcomed by beautiful blue skies on our arrival in Newton.
After parking our cars on Beach Road, we started our walk through initially a built-up area admiring to our left a huge well-structured allotment area which then in turn led is to an absolutely stunning magical woodland walk. Now reaching the end of the woodland walk we arrived in complete contrast to an area of open space which took us over the dunes to continue our walk on Newton Beach.
At the end of a very enjoyable walk which had taken us over a very varied terrain we all enjoyed a well-earned coffee at a lovely little cafe in Newton Village which rounded off the morning beautifully.
