From Wick to the Coastal Path, 17th December

After eight days of continual cold frosty mornings, five of us set off on the last chilly morning.

The thaw had just started which was a shame as the ground began to become muddier in places. We walked down Trepit road then followed the footpath direct towards the cliffs. An amusing moment came when trying to help Liz over a particularly awkward gate!

After inspecting the ancient Neolithic settlement site on the cliff edge, we headed directly into a cold fierce easterly wind before crossing fields towards Glan y Mor. We made our way through Monks Wood and back across the three fields to re-join Potato Street.

The whole walk took 2 hours and was 4 miles in length.
