Thirteen of us met in the car park at Aberavon beach. It was a cloudy March morning but no rain HOORAY!!. We set off to the east towards the little warren beach or as some locals call it the’ small side’ it is a quiet corner of captured water and a few sand dunes between a concrete pier (the old north breakwater) and the river Afan, which is dominated by giant cranes, reminding us of Port Talbot’s industrial past.

We then proceeded west along the beautiful golden sands for about a mile towards Baglan Bay, with Swansea on the horizon, and decided it was time for coffee and returned along the prom heading to Remo’s for coffee and snacks.
Thank you for your company, look forward to the next walk
