Eleven of us turned up at the WVH and after arranging car sharing headed for Bryngarw Country Park, where we were joined by Moyra. With over 100 acres of gardens and mature woodlands, the park turned out to be a most magical and memorable place to visit.

We walked through the woods, along boardwalks over the river Garw and enjoyed the floral beauty of the Oriental Garden and the many flowers that were beginning to emerge. There were a number of wood sculptures; one of a woman, and also one of the keepers of the meadow.
We stopped and enjoyed the tranquillity of the lake admiring the views, the grounds and Bryngarw house itself which dates back to the 1800s.
We ended our walk at the café before making our way back. The country park proved to be an enjoyable and amazing place to visit and was enjoyed by all.
