Festive walk to Southerndown, 11 December

Sixteen of us met for the festive walk to Southerndown. Most met at the village Hall, driving to and parking on the road near the Three Golden Cups.

We walked down the beach road, to Southerndown beach passing through the wooden gates and on to the cliff top with magnificent views of the sea/channel before returning to the pavilion in the Dunraven Castle grounds and were pleased to be met by other club members on arrival especially Mary and Carroll, whom it was nice to see again.

There was a very festive spirit with many of us bringing an assortment of snacks and mulled wine, not forgetting of course Graham’s scotch, which is becoming a bit of a tradition.

A good time was had by all before we returned to our cars.

Merry Xmas and happy new year to all, Richard
