Six of us left WVH at 10am and headed toward Ewenny Road for the start of our walk. The weather was very nice, mild, quite warm and a welcome change from the recent wet weather.
Leaving Ewenny Road we took a right turn toward Clemenstone, passing the stables on the left and the resident dog that always needs to check us out and a few minutes later, we arrived at Tynewydd Cottages, and the splendid Clemenstone Court/House classed as a County Treasure (No. 738) by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
We continued along the track with St Andrews Church on the right, County Treasure (No, 1383) described as roofless ruin of a mortared stone structure and a bit further along we arrived at Church Farm with 4 County Treasures on this site, 3 now refurbished as holiday lets.
Continuing our walk we are arrived at Llandow, but it was worrying to see the stream that runs along the main road was totally dry!. A few minutes later we turned right and up the hill along Grove Road, eventually passing the substantial greenhouses on Sutton Road, turning right and onto Topstak.
On arrival we took our places on the settees as usual ordering teas, coffees and cakes when Anne and Robbie arrived closely followed by Helen and Andrew.

On our return journey we took a different route passing The Rectory, a wonderful Georgian ‘Grade Two Listed Building’, and described as a very good example of a mid-19th century country house.

Continuing our journey through Llandow and Clemenstone, we got back to Wick at about 2.30pm. Total distance, just under 9 miles, about 13k.
