Seven of us set off on a wild, wet, and windy day. We parked in Porthcawl on the sea front close to a shelter and walked past Rest Bay and then all along the board walk to the end of Royal Porthcawl golf course. There were even a few hardy souls playing!
Then past Sker House in the mist and drizzle before heading towards the coast and back the way we had come. There followed a very welcome stop at the Rest Bay Cafe for drinks and food, before heading back to the cars.
Total distance was 6 miles. Although we all got pretty damp, it was nice to be out ‘in the elements’ and in convivial company.
