Our scheduled walk coincided with Easter Monday, and we did wonder if many walkers would be free. So, it was lovely to have such a good turnout including Bridget’s sister Janice who not only had helped with the recce but also offered her garden for refreshments after.
The weather was really kind to us, the threatened rain stayed away as we set off on our circular walk from Trerhyngyll. We decided to stick with our original route knowing it was very muddy in places. It was worthwhile as the wild flowers, birdsong and views along the bridle path far outweighed having to clean our boots!

The piece de resistance was the extensive carpet of native bluebells in Graig Woods. We then headed up and through the meadows serenaded by a sky lark. On reaching the lanes, it was decided to stay on the firm ground and took a shorter route back to the village than planned. A very popular decision as it gave us more time to enjoy tea, cake (thank you Emily for the baking), the beautiful garden and countryside beyond.

All in all, a lovely way to spend Bank Holiday Monday. Thank you for joining us, and especially Janice and Andy for hosting us afterwards.
